Keith Johnson, aka CBS072 on this forum, will be undergoing heart bypass surgery today.  I talked to him last night and he seemed in good spirits and optimistic over what is a pretty routine procedure nowadays.  Still, send a little positive energy his way, please!

Thanks!

Mitch

Keith update:

Stopped by early this afternoon.  Keith was coming out of surgery, festooned with more wires than a turnout control panel from a Certain Layout We All Know (cough cough Big Boy 4005 cough cough)

I dropped off some ancient issues of Rail Classics from the late 70s; after all, what's a hospital visit without old magazines?

Surgery went fine, Keith'll be groggy for a day or two, but for the moment all is well!  Yay!

Thanks, all, for the well wishes and prayers!

That's great to hear Mitch! Thanks for the update.

When I came outta mine, my wife said I was a moron for 24 hours... fortunately, I have zero recollection of that period of time less a 4:15 AM phone call to my brother.

Best wishes to Keith. If he is coughing I can guarantee he is hugging the stuffing out of the pillow they give you. It's was 11 yrs. ago on the 7th I had a 5 bypass operation done and that 1st night was more than a little rough but got easier with time. Tell him to follow the doctors orders to the letter for his rehabbing and dieting and he do just fine. Good luck to him.
