Those who have Marx 3/16 scale flatcars with lumber loads: What are the dimensions of the lumber, please? I've seen that reproductions are available, but wonder if it is a size that can be readily bought and cut to length.

I just unwrapped wood beams (would not call them logs or boards)on a flat car in a Detroit News paper page dated May 12,1957, so I think lumber is original..they all measured 1/2" by 1/2" by 7 1/4" in length....this car had the center holddown strap....
lumber looks time-weathered enough to be original...
Uh, I think HD/Lowes/Menards has square wooden quarter inch strips, so...? I
am out of it..I just have 1/4" and 3/8" for structure building on hand but looks easy to cut off at 7 1/4"
