The 5405 J3a Hudson is ordered, and I'm still on the fence about the NYC Fa-2 with the superbass B. I have until Wednesday.
I ordered a custom run C420 in the yellow jacket paint scheme
Granite Run Quarries Trackmobile
I ordered four more Legacy Bluetooth diesels, the oil train set, a bunch of tank car 3 packs, and a few hoppers. Oh yeah, the UP excursion expansion 2 pack. That was more than enough.
611 Spirit of Roanoke with tool car and one of the Cavalier 2-packs. Already went over budget with that and the soon to be released vision line challenger and aux tender...
Two Alco FA AA sets: Spokane Portland and Seattle and the Alco Demo.
Also a BN Ps2 Hopper.
Went completely traditional this time...
U.S. Army LC set, Scooby Doo LC set, Scooby Doo sound boxcar, and (2) Spy vs. Spy operating cars,
I will wait until the "Gold Bonnet" and UP fantasy scheme engines arrive, then examine, then decide.
Nada... I'll buy what I can when it shows up.
BNSF oil train, Penn Central baggage cars
I've ordered two sound cars and a es44 UP Engine to match up with a unit I got from Leaping Larry. With all the issues I have had with Lionel I still like theme and will give them another try. They have been real good about fixing problems with some recent models which are quality issues as well as shipping damage . I will see how it goes,
One Union Pacific Es44ac
hopefully a bnsf in the future
D&H ALCo C420 in the traditional lighting stripe paint.
I ordered one of the REA 60' baggage cars.
nothing
Didn't place yet, but the items that stick in my mind that will likely be in the final order:
- Looney Tunes Boxcars (3)
- Looney Tunes Pepe and Penelope Chase Gondola
- Comment: it's a shame they only offered the Coyote/Roadrunner Aquarium car in S-Gauge, I would have ordered one of those for sure!
- Disney Steam Engine
- Christmas Boxcar
Then the "maybes"
- Promontory Set
- Possibly one of the Nassau Hobby special run C-420s (unless I decide I like the regular catalog one better - not sure yet)
-Dave
I really enjoyed the Sherman Big Boy set but none of that lionmaster crap
Cupola cam caboose, rf&p legacy gp35, lion chief plus 2.0 et44ac
I ordered the custom run NKP GP-35 along with some Polar Express scale stuff - all from my favorite dealer - MrMuffins.
I ordered Mr. Muffins custom run Nickel Plate GP-35 #910 and his custom run Hudson #5415. I also ordered Pat's Trains custom Hudson #5416.
I have ordered the add-on UP Excursion and Challenger 21" passenger cars. The Santa Fe cars were also ordered. I cut back on the NS and CP cars due to quality issues I am finding in the new Lionel I have just received and had to return. I have returned five engines in the last two months and cancelled two more GP9 engine orders.
Sincerely, John Rowlen

I do not understand how the superbass B is almost the same price as the powered B. Must be one heck of a speaker...

True lol! I just have absolutely no need for a 3rd powered unit since both A's are powered. Actually, one powered A in the pair would be enough to drag 15 reefers around my layout.
If they do it right, that Alco sound should be really good out of a bigger speaker.
I don't pre-order so when my favorites arrive I will then make a decision.

If it’s like the previous F3 run, you’ll be happy.

On the Army set, did you notice that the mint car was labeled "Fort Knox Tenn"? Someone needs a geography lesson.
I did see, like many others, the Fort Knox "Tenn" error. For fun, after this set arrives, I was thinking of kit bashing the mint car to reflect Lionel's miscue. I will be adding the TCA Manhattan mint car and the METCA Brooklyn Naval Yard 6464 to this consist.
Went high and low . New Haven Bipolar and BN Lionchief RS-3.
A BNSF ET44AC LC+2.0!
ES44AC oil train set
Dummy ES44AC
white tank car 3 pack
Canadian Pacific FA set ABBA
two PS-1 sound cars........................Paul
The Erie Mining train with Dummy Engine, and the BNSF Tank Train with 3 pack add on and Dummy engine.
Polar Express 15th Anniversary FreightSounds PS-1 Boxcar and PE Barrel Car.
611's dome car!
not a thing
Nothing this year.
Have a big trip to the States (Route 66) this year so will visit some train stores on route. Operating Accessories and Buildings are on the list of items for the layout.
Nick
One of those Southern Boxcars.
Soo Line Bandit SD 40. Hoping like hell I avoid the horror stories I hear and read about Lionel quality of late.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Gunrunner John, Nothing is probably the decision of a wise and experienced man.
Me, I went for the 21" PCssenger Car Buffet and a couple custom-run Hudsons. What do the sellers of the custom-run Hudsons do when a large number don't work correctly? Are they making twice the number for a 50% failure rate?
Sincerely, John Rowlen
I ordered an ES44AC BNSF Diesel Locomotive, a Summit View Vistadome StationSounds Car, a Sante Fe Vistadome StationSounds Car, MKT with camera Caboose, some box cars with sounds, and a flat car with Sherman tank load, Hopefully all will come in scattered throughout the year.....The 2019 Catalog is a really big book, I hope Lionel does well. Good Question, Great Thread. Happy Railroading
I ordered two ps-1 freight sound boxcars. Love the way they sound and seem hard to find.
