Simons Bakery, in Cranbrook Shopping Center, Cockeysville, MD, is known for its all-year long window displays featuring toy trains. The displays change periodically. Today I saw this attractive standard gauge White Train, first time I'd seen it. Not knowing much about tinplate or standard gauge, I wondered if any on here could provide information about the set?

Thanks in advance for any information or comments.

Bandob, the answer to your question in the title of the thread, "What is the Standard Gauge White Train?", can be found here

In the early 1920's, Ives made a few all-white standard gauge sets of large passenger cars pulled by their 3243 locomotive. They were to be used by dealers as displays to attract attention, but they ended up finding their way into customers' hands. It is known to collectors as the Ives "White Set", and there are only a handful of them that exist.

The train in your photo is something somebody painted up at some point: Lionel never made the 8e in white.
