I unknowingly photographed this engine in a CSX consist in Pittsburgh this week and don't know what "TORC" stands for.
Anyone know more about this engine in CSX colors?
Any insight appreciated.

Yes...Enginear Joe has it right...Toledo Ore Dock.
The 996 is an old SD40-2 with a rich heritage.
First it was L&N 3572
Then it was Seaboard Coast Line 8200
Then it was CSX 8200
And finally, TORC 996.
There ya go...
Until now, I had thought that it stood for 'That Other Rail Company'.
Toledo Ore Railroad Company

Do you know when TORC acquired it???
TORCO is a separate corporation, within "Chessie" or now CSX, which handles Iron Ore, Taconite and coal within the Toledo area. It stands for the "Toledo Ore Dock Company" The docks are located on the southeast banks of the Maumee River. I hope this helps!
