Make a Prewar style tender. I had a decent 1682 frame after I used the roof for the Hornby Marjorie car for our daughter Marjorie (which the post office has...."misplaced" I was down in the cellar the other day looking at the frame, and I noticed the 2046 tender shell. It fits nicely. used some scrap banding from work to make mounting brackets,and a draw bar. Just need the paint to sit and I'll decal it tomorrow. Looks pretty good behind 2055.

I like it, your custom prewar 6 wheel trucks would probably look even better Dave!
thanks Dennis. I tried a set of my home made trucks, but they hit on the frame, and when spaced to clear, the frame was too high.I have 6 wheeled trucks on my Vandy tender I made for my 225E, and I used a 1682 frame for that as well, but the trucks were factory made.
