I have some MTH-Premier streamlined passenger cars that have the nameplate and number of the car glued onto the sides of the car. Over time, the number and the nameplates have fallen off of the car. What type of glue can I use to glue them back on?? I've tried crazy glue and it leaves a chemical stain on the car....Help.................Rogerw

You might use Hob-E-Tac or Scenic Accents glue, both by Woodland Scenics. Both of them applied and allowed to dry to a clear appearance then have a VERY high tack, which should be sufficient to keep them attached.
The nice thing about this sort of adhesive is that any solvents that might affect the car finish first dissipate as the glue dries to its highest tackiness. That way there's less possibility of damaging a mating surface.
But, that's just one man's humble opinion. I'm sure others will follow. Stay tuned.

The Scenic Accents glue works well - I would recommend that.
I use Super Glue on most everything plastic. works for me. I have used it on nameplates, walkways on engines.Traction Tires,Couplers. I use the cheap stuff from the $1.00 store.
I use RTV for these things. Also known as silicone seal.
