I like it much better now as the format has been updated. It seems like there are a few common concerns, and it looks like Rich has been plowing through them one by one.
Thanks and good work!

quote:What's everyone think?
I don't particularly like it.
I don't like walking into the grocery store and finding they have changed where everything is located either.
The past, it is now lost forever.
There was a time when the land was sacred
and the ancient ones were as one with it.
A time when only the children of the great spirit were here to
light the fires in these places with no boundaries.
When forests were as thick as the fur of the winter bear.
When a warrior could walk from horizon to horizon
on the backs of the buffalo.
When deserts were in bloom and the streams,
pure as freshly fallen snow.
At that time,
when there were only simple ways.
I saw with my heart the conflicts to come.
And whether it was to be for good or bad.
What was certain was,
that there would be change.
so far,so good,gettn better daily.
Man, the new forum is really coming together. You guys must be putting in some overtime. Pretty much all the concerns are being addressed and it's only been 2 days.
IMO the only left to fix is how linked images (like photobucket) come in so small with no option to zoom. In the reply box the image is full 1024x768 size. But once posted, it gets miniaturized. You have to right-click it and open in a new window to view the original size.
I do like the idea of keeping the quote boxes, and the image within shrunk-down (as shown above). This way quotes and quoted images will be more obvious, and not take up so much of the page. Especially if it's a great image that people tend to quote over and over and over in a thread.
Other than that, I think were about there.
SB - Who makes the Soo in the pic you posted, it's awesome!?
I'll take the old one. We still don't know who's online by name, we still don't know who started the thread without going on it, And the font is small. From the start, I found my way around ok and we won't be going back so here we are.
On most web browsers, you can hold the control key down and click your scroll wheel a notch or two to increase (or decrease) the font size. In Chrome, the default font seems too big to me so I dial it down a few point sizes.
ALso, this was probably covered by someone else but as you scroll over the avatars for who's online, their screen name shows up.
ctrl + seems to make the Font more comfortable to read. I didn't know about scanning the avatar though.
Being a newbie, I don't have anything to compare, but so far it is fantastic!

And ctrl - makes it smaller again. Adjust the font to size you need for your eyes or monitor!
Great catch Jim!
