Never heard of this movie before. Thanks - cool scenes.
I remember seeing Ring of Fire on TV a very long time ago.
The interesting thing was, a bulldozer was used to pull the tender off the trestle before it collapsed so it wouldn't get destroyed, but the locomotive was expendable.

Good to see no tenders were hurt during the making of this film. 
Pretty cool burning trestle seen with crashing heavy weight cars...
would be fun to work this set!

After seeing the video of that recent shortline trestle collapse, the one in the movie didn't seem right. My bet is they collapsed the trestle before it was totally burned away, actually, the fire was most likely fake. Nonetheless, some amazing effects for the pre-digital era! Ah Hollywood! The heroine didn't mess up her hair or makeup, despite the ordeal!
