When can purchasers of this car expect delivery? I was hoping it would be in my hands by now so it could already be running during this entire holiday season. Btw, should buyers expect an email notification with tracking number to know exactly when it's scheduled to be delivered?

Hopefully, it will be very soon, Cabinet Bob, so it will at least be an LCCA exclusive for one (current) holiday season, since it seems likely Lionel will add this to their upcoming catalog of P.E. offerings for the 2019 holiday season.
I received an email from the LCCA today which says delivery is to be before Christmas 2018.

The web blast went out this week to everyone who has a email address with the LCCA. If you didn't receive that, contact the business office and let them know.
Guys the car is Exclusive to the LCCA and will not be offered in Lionel catalogs.

Thanks, Neil and Cabinet Bob. I did get that email but I was hoping to get a definitive date. I hope it's not shipped so close to Christmas that it gets mixed in with the last minute holiday mail rush of and doesn't actually arrive until after Christmas. I was counting on having it by now so my young nephews could run and enjoy it these weeks before Christmas. If it's coming from China, hopefully it's already off the boat and in the hands of Lionel so it can be shipped this week to those of us who've purchased it. Fingers crossed for that scenario.
The cars should be at our Business office today so will probably start going out on Monday if all goes well.

Whoa, that is cutting it close but at least they'll be here during the holiday unlike MTH's Santa with Reindeer on LED sleigh and LED Nativity flatcars which won't arrive until January at the earliest.
Btw, is this PE car made in the US or China? (I'm guessing China.)

Does it have the tire-tread foot printed roof snow to match last years Polar Express color?
Are there any left? It is shown in the new Lionel catalog.
