I would like to find the metal chains that go to the 4 corners of prewar tinplate #205 freight containers. I have looked on the Bay etc. I want to attach the chained freight container to the hook on my prewar Lionel tinplate crane . Thanks ===

I don't know, but here is thread from a few years ago. https://ogrforum.com/...-lcl-container-chain Maybe Daniel @FRENCHTRAINS found them. Chain is pretty easy to find in a jewelry supply/craft store. Just have to figure the size.

Many thanks @Will I have got a MTH one, as I had never seen one it was not easy to have the right size as you say.
Very Best, Daniel
Michaels Craft store, that's what I used on mine. In the jewelry making section. I've also used the chain to make mine own telltales for tunnel approaches.
Alas, MTH should have produced these as spare parts but did NOT! :-(
I don’t know if it would work for you, but craft stores such as michaels have a variety of cheap jewelry chain. Might be worth a trip if you have a craft store close by.
Hi and Thanks for the advice of Michaels source to buy chains, my wife found them , they are a perfect fit. Michaels Bead Landing Chain Extenders # 10338103. , —- four for $4.29 , and you do not need anything more. There are 2 different “ silver “ colors in the bag , so if want the chains to match — buy 2 bags and you will have 4 of each matching colors. See photos.
