Thinking of building a Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge in O Scale. Can anyone tell me which month of the 1967 Model Railroader an article appeared for building one in HO Scale? Or better yet can someone scan and email me the article? I have searched the web and can find articles but no plans with dimensions. Want to replicate the one spanning the Manasquan River in Pt Pleasant, NJ. I know the opening spanned was 59 feet but that's it. Thanks for any responses!

Found it - it's in the November 1967 issue. Got lucky, as my 1967 issue collection is incomplete. Looks like about 9 pages of drawings and article. Sorry, no way to scan right now.
So, that would be the Glimmer Glass bridge?
Thanks for the response Paul.
Carl,
No, though I have been over that small bridge many times. Had many seafood meals in the restaurant at SE foot of that bridge. I'm talking about the two track railroad bridge that you must pass through to get out Manasquan Inlet. Was completed in 1918 as a 2-track bascule bridge with a 59' span but one set of tracks were disabled, I think in early 70"s. If I remember correctly, the bridge was damaged when they brought a ferry through, at high tide, that was being converted into a restaurant that was moored next to the Rt-37 bridge. The "Ferry Restaurant" was later dismantled to the waterline and the remaining hulk towed away.

That one must be busy too - very low to the water - thanks for pic. wooden craft to the to the starboard.
I looked at an online reference - but, there was only '30's and '40's model builder issues. Model Railroader starts in the '80's. I look at the track plans for layout design elements.
hey, Mixed freight, you could take cell phone photos and post them.
Model Railroader goes back into the mid 30's.
Would someone please provide scans or cell phone pics of the "Compact Drawbridge" article in the November, 1967 Model Railroader. Thanks for any responses.
Thank you Paul! The images are just what I need. Your and others willingness to help is why this forum is so great!
