Wouldn't that depend on your location?
When shopping for Williams, be aware that prices vary widely. Williams items start with a wildly inflated MSRP, and the amount by which retailers discount off of that number is all over the place.
One that hasn't been mentioned is Western Depot. It's been a while but I bought quite a bit of Williams from them.
Trainworld. Even by mail. If you catch them on sale there you can get the best prices and their shipping is really fair.
Mario's ?
My best Williams' experiences have been with Trainland/Trainworld. Great prices ( when on sale or blowouts ) and great service! I once ordered a Williams by Bachman locomotive from TL/TW which arrived dead on arrival. They paid shipping for the return of the locomotive back to TL/TW and replaced the locomotive very fast.
Be sure to check out the store's ( where ever you purchase ) return policies before you purchase. Btw - I do really like Williams locos ( I have 10 ) , however, I've had a quite a few bad William by Bachman apples new right out of the box ( Never a problem with original Williams products) and that could be just bad luck on my part. Not all dealers would pay for the return shipping even after sending me a defective product DOA. Those dealers no longer receive my business.
Public Delivery Track , I would search all the suggested sponsors sites.
Many of us have Williams trains including some no longer produced by Bachmann. If you are looking for something in particular you can't find in the stores you should post in the Wanted to Buy forum. You may get lucky and even find it for less than what the item is new.
