Good Evening,

Who will be the first to present the MotivePower Industries MP36PH-3C in O Scale? These are some fantastic color schemes!

Regards,

Swafford

Considering my near daily interactions with the MARC units, as well as VRE, I'd consider buying an engine and two or three cars for MARC assuming the engine and cars are not to big for my layout. I've wanted some MARC stuff for a while that is diesel locomotive hauled. The MTH Budd cars and electrics don't interest me. I occasionally ride MARC for my daily commute and live a short distance from the MARC Brunswick diesel line. I'd buy a MARC diesel that was non-MP36 as well. MARC still has and uses the GP39s (at least one, maybe more are ex-B&O) and continues to use the GP40 (red nose with Gyralight).

In real life I suppose one unit is enough for a typical push-pull service.

MARC and VRE are known to put engines at each end, usually is something is up with the cab car and it can't lead. MARC provides excursion trains for the Brunswick MD Rail Festival and has engines at each end. MARC has been known to run some funny looking trains, mixing single level cars with tri-level cars. Lately they have a train running with the MP36's coupled together back to back. Looks something like an old F unit AA set.
