Good Day,
I wonder why this color scheme was never offered. Who will be the first to present the Union Pacific Olympic SD70M's 2001 and 2002?
Regards,
Swafford

Seeing that the event was over a decade ago, We would have had these offered already. I doubt we will see those now.
As Casey said I don't think we will see those. I just really hope Lionel makes the Veterans Engine soon.
MTH will run out of paint schemes for the SD70MAC/SD70M.
Lionel's production of the SD70M/SD70MAC has been unpredictable.
Lionel still has yet to make more than one road number of the Union Pacific SD70M with flared radiators.

Hi Frank,
Good post, I have wondered why the Olympic units were never offered. I think it is a very nice paint scheme, different and unique especially for UP at the time. I thought for sure MTH would do them. But it was not to be. As has been posted, I too think we will never see them. Too much time has passed. I do hope that the veterans paint scheme will be offered.
Enjoy
Frank
They just cataloged a Burlington Northern U30C in the Bicentennial Scheme for 1976.
The way to make the special Union Pacific scheme is to produce a special Union Pacific Train Set.
How many people are buying Union Pacific diesels that were built after 1995?
Andrew
I would like a set of the Olympic units. MTH would be my choice.
The Union Pacific Big Boys have not been operating for years. No one will buy those.
Andrew
Would like MTH to do the Boy Scouts engine.
The UNION PACIFIC United Way SD40-2 has a pleasant paint scheme. MTH has not made this one.
Lionel and MTH can offer this Union Pacific special paint scheme.
