Why isn't O Scale 2-Rail more popular with model railroaders? What can be done to increase 2RS's popularity?

Even more a more recent layout, the seasonal display that was set-up from Thanksgiving until New Years at CitiCorp Center in Manhattan. It went to Upstate to Pottersville after the financial crisis, but then ended up getting auctioned off in pieces in 2014. That was a really cool "Hi-tech" Layout, with various scales for "compressed perspective".
