I've got four engines, all PS3. Three of the engines work great on wifi with the $4.95 app on my Ipad. One of the engines a PRR diesel from an RTR set work OK, except for one issue. When I shut down the system and then start it back up using the Ipad, this engine has no horn, bell, or engine sounds. If i do an engine reset, all of these sounds come back, until the next time I shut off the main switch. I believe it's a wifi issue because I have no problems when I run the trains with the DCS remote, only with wifi. And the other engines don't seem to have the same problem. Any ideas?

George,

Try doing a Feature Reset using the remote.

If that doesn't set things right, try a Factory Reset, again using the remote. This will delete the engine from the remote.

You should also delete it from all other remotes and the app, before adding it back in. When you do add it back in, ensure that it has the same DCS ID# in all remotes and the app.

Well, Barry. The factory reset seemed to work until one of my other engines derailed. Then I restarted everything and the PRR started racing around the layout with cars flying off of it. Nothing I could do with either the remote or the ipad to slow it down, until I managed to throw the kill switch. Then when I got everything back on again, the PRR was the only engine without engine sounds, horn or whistle, using either the remote or the ipad.  So, I did another factory reset and got it all back. Am I faced with doing factory resets on this engine periodically? Why only this engine? Does it need to go back to MTH for warranty work?
