I am having an issue with the WIFI. After the device has been on for around 3 hours the Android tablets and I-phone get a message the TIU can't be found. I can unplug it and start over and it will work fine for a few minutes and then the problem will start again. Suggestions??

Has the WiFi previously worked OK? Are you in Home or MTH mode?
It works great for about 3 hours. Sometime after that I look down and notice the tablet and phone can no longer communicate with the TIU. The WIFI on the devices says we are still connected to the MTH Wifi. Under normal conditions I don't run trains for three hours straight. However during special events at the museum we may run DCS for 8 hours. If I unplug the wifi unit for a while it will work when I plug it back in, however I won't get three hours before it fails again unless it sits for several hours

If this happens with all of your devices, then it actually sounds as if there could be a heat-sensitive component in the WIU that's failing.
That's what I was thinking. I think the warranty is up on the unit.

That depends on when you bought the WIU. If memory serves me, the WIU was only available starting in October/November of 2015. That would make it at most 18 months old or less.
