Hi Everyone.

I have a Williams (Jerry Williams era) Amtrak scale GG1 painted and letters in the silver, red and blue  the so called WC Fields scheme cab #901. I bought it used about a year ago and have yet to see another anywhere online or elswhere. It is defenitly original and not a repaint. Was this something that Williams quit early in the production run? Just curious about it.

Evryone have a safe 4th.

Like others have said, I doubt he will sell it at that price. It is probably from the Crown Edition era of Williams. Also his other stuff for sale is very old stock, and overpriced! $350.00 for a set of five Amtrak passenger cars, NO way!

I bought a whole set of six Santa Fe passenger cars and  three F-7 engines for only $400.00 for all nine pieces.

That's funny! But I too agree....mine was NOS and delivered for around $100. But never hurts to put it out there.....never know when a newbie HAS to have one now!!

Most of these bigger sellers list for free so what the hey!

I wish I had picked one of these up when they were readily available.  It is one of the few schemes I do not have in my collection outside of an N scale version.  It would look great pulling my growing fleet of Amtrak Phase I cars.

Being the rivet counter I am, the only problem I ever had with this paint scheme is that all the GG1's that received it had the FARR filter mods.  Only Lionel and Kohs have captured that correctly in O scale.  However, I like the scheme.  It was a bit of color in an era of mainly black and white GG1s.

The Williams GG-1 locomotives are a great deal.  They also make a good platform for DCS/ERR conversions.  I think it may have been John a while ago who stated the Pans make a great antenna for ERR conversions.  Last year at York, Train World had a huge blow out on the scale G motors and they had all the road names.   I got weak in the knees and purchased 12 of them.
