Hello How do you turn the smoke off on this engine no switch on bottom. Also has a knob in the cab of engine that when turned the wheels turn. I bought this unfortunately No Manual. Any help appreciated.

That knob in the cab is the motor's flywheel.
Look for a switch on the engine's frame, probably hidden by the leading or trailing truck.

I have this same engine (Penny’s not Southern). Unfortunately it does not have a switch to turn off. It has a Suethe smoke unit. You have to make sure to keep smoke fluid in it or it will burn out. Not the best smoker but still a great conventional engine. Bachman smoke seems to work best for me . You can probably find the instructions on Bachman’s site.
