Can anyone list the usual make up of a “sold as” six car set of O31 (14’ Madison cars)? Baggage, combo, observation, 2 coaches, and a diner car, or was a 3rd coach included instead of the diner? Thanks for reading.

I don’t have any 6 car sets, but do have two 5 car sets. Both have a baggage car, combo car, 2 coaches and an observation. I also had a 1990 Williams flyer/catalog handy, it did not list 6 car sets, only 5 car as above. Hope this helps.

In a 1995 catalog (fold out) Williams lists 14" 6 car sets with three coaches.
Sorry for being late to the show. My father had an early 6 car set of Williams 60' passenger cars. As I recall that set came with three coaches. I don't believe during that era Williams made heavyweight diners as my 72' set did not have a diner either. Maybe it changed later.
