I had occasion this past weekend to take my missus and our two grandkids on a really nice
'autumn leaves' rail tour from Wilmington, Del. to Hockessin, Del., about a 10-mile ride. Round
trip was about 2-1/2 hours, including a half hour in Hockessin to get off and take pictures. The
train was double-ended with a 4-4-0 steam engine and an SW-900, each at either end (no
turntable). The seven cars were heavyweights from the former P.R.S.L. (one of them converted
to open-air touring. Winding through woods, we crossed the Red Clay Creek many times, also saw
the vacant ruins of old industries along the way, including an old mill or two. Very nice! I would
recommend the ride to those in the area. Their website has a lot more info: www.wwrr.com
