Wiring Question for a Post War 282 Gantry Crane | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Help. I had to replace a gear on my 282 Gantry Crane. To get at the gear I had to remove the motor. It took several weeks for me to get around to actually doing the work. Now I can't remember where the 2 wires that come off the field winding get reattached. Pictures would help. Thanks in advance.

According to the schematic, it looks like one field wire gets connected to the #1 terminal on the terminal plate, and the other field wire gets connected to the brush holder nearest the base. (Take pictures of your projects as you disassemble them so you can refer back to them for reassembly).
