How are these powered? Can someone post a photo of what the electrical hookup is like? Are there terminals or a plug that is used or are there wire pigtails coming out of the buidlings?

Two pig tail wires out the bottom. Internally mounted dimmer control for the led's on all the illuminated ones we have seen.

I suppose a plug of sorts could be put into the backside of the building so a wallwart could simply plug into it?

Easily done, have done it with these and other structures.
Menards has one for their ceramic bldgs.

It would be easy to install a wallwart plug but one wart or tiny supply can run many of these buildings.
I power mine with small starter set power supplies like that shown below: I must have, literally, a dozen - they seem to accumulate somehow. Most are in a box because so far I only need four to power all the buildings on my layout. Each has about 7 W capacity which runs about five to eight buildings: I just set the WS dimmer at full brightness and run set of wires from it to under the bench and take the pig tails from each building, WS and others down to it and wire them up. I then have control over the amount of lighting with the power supply adjustment.
