a heads up nice show went today all gauges represented but for a change Lionel MTH caboose industries and Steve himself was showing his track/switch products off. a few vendors had a good offering of scenic express as well as woodland scenics products. all were allowed to use the lc remotes and run trains on more than one layout setup.

i came across a vendor had a power master tmcc base and 135 watt power house for $145 might be gone now then again?

i chatted with Steve at Ross booth a really nice person he is enjoying our sunny warm weather.

Believe it or not, but I really enjoyed the Lego trains that were running in the far corner, but Lego kits are not cheap.

I saw the NS Honor Our Veterans diesel/caboose running in the MTH booth. It looks so much nicer in person than in the catalog and I'm definitely going to buy one now that I've seen it. They also had several of the animated cars, like the military car with all the service insignias revolving inside a boxcar. The Ross booth had a lot of switches laid out and they do look nice and solid, you could definitely see the workmanship was there. There were a lot of activities for kids, including pedal cars on tracks and kids were awestruck watching the trains go around in circles, so the spark is still there. And the modular folks had some really large HO/N layouts running with some nice scenery and several booths had all scales, from N to G, running on ovals inside each other. I wasn't there to buy, so I don't know if there were deals to be had or not, but there was a lot of equipment for sale, again mostly HO and N.

I was not able to attend having contracted a vicious cold/virus but my daughter took her kids and they had a great time.  My 5 year old grandson's only disappointment was there were too many people there for him to monopolize everything in site.  They looked at layouts, rode on Thomas and built layouts with wooden trains. Even the 15month old got into the action.  A great time!
