I don't think my bench work will support it!!
The eight foot minimum radius will really limit the ping pong table crowd.
That's a pretty nice one for sure!

Actually not a bad price for live steam, considering the list price of the VL BB. I have a smallish Ruby live steam garden gauge engine and with r/c servos and controls came in at about $500, quite a difference!

Thank goodness!! makes it affordable!!
Since I am only interested in American prototypes, I don't think I'll stock up.
In me and my wife's long term plans for our house is to build a garden in the back yard along the back fence. I plan to do a loop of live steam or battery operated trains back there. It would be run the entire length of my back fence and up about 3/4ths along the side fence of the yard.
Ain't those Asters beauties?
Also, no football-playing in the yard while the trains are running.
I own an LGB/Aster live steam, butane-fired 0-6-0 "Frank S" made in Japan. It has a water sight glass, pressure gauge, gas valve, throttle valve, safety relief valve, steam oil tank, and forward/neutral/reverse lever. The tender contains the butane tank and filler valve.
Steams well but does not have RC control. Boiler water can be refilled while under pressure with a special one-way (Goodall) valve and pump bottle.
Runs best on LGB 15000 radius track or larger (ALL drive wheels are flanged).
Requires high-grade, multi-filtered butane fuel, distilled water and medium-viscosity steam oil.
Lots of fun on elevated oval track or threadmill!

That Accucraft DB 2-10-2 is awesome, especially with the cylinder drains and axle pump but the 16 foot diameter curvature puts it out of my reach!
My little Aster "Frank S" is a smooth and reliable runner!

And I've been drooling over this one for years. And their AD60 Garratt too.
EDIT: Guess those were the Aster models I've been drooling over, not the Accucraft.
