My friends and I have been attending the York meet for the past eight years or so. But this falls show had several troubling trends that I observed. As noted in another post the Brown and Purple Halls were half empty. And severe over crowding in the Red hall. The dealers absence while troubling, to the overall growth hobby could be looked at as a opportunity by the Eastern Division. The Purple and Brown halls could be consolidated and more members could be moved into the open space. This would aleveiate the overcrowding in the Red hall. The members there don't get a fair opportunity for buyers to get a good look at their offerings due to the amount of people in the isle. If one person stops to look it creates a road block that is hard to navigate. I know this would fly in the face of tradition. But more sales would change the sad/grumpy faces I see in the Red hall and increase the overall enjoyment of a great meet.

I have heard from several that the brown hall will be closed and the vendors moved to the purple hall. Also many HO vendors were absent due to the show in Timonium.
You must have hit a busy streak (or there just happened to be a large group right near you that naturally traveled with you as everyone followed the flow )
I was in Red and it wasn't too crowded across the board. Busy times, probably, but if you had seen it a few years before you started attending, it's no where near as crowded as it was then.
Those days you felt like cattle moving through the member halls for almost the whole time. you almost felt guilty stopping to look at something as you could slow down traffic if someone was also looking at something across the aisle.

I heard the same. One Brown vendor had a sign indicating they would be in Purple in the Spring.

I also don't recall seeing Public Delivery Truck in the Brown hall of which I think she was the main contact. You could tell that there was a gap in displays within the hall and she might not of been the only one missing from that hall.
