Hello- went to run trains for the 1st time in months. My older Z-4000 transformer shows this on screen, won’t go off. How can I reset this? Thanks, JohnA

Well, for one thing- see that PG?? That means PROGRAM MODE.
So notice how BLACK button says program below it? Press that to EXIT program mode.
Also, simply power cycling OFF and then ON again would have exited program mode the long way around.

As with nearly any MTH product, simply going to the product page https://mthtrains.com/40-4000
Direct manual Link https://mthtrains.com/sites/de...ction/20as15530i.pdf
Page 6 of the manual covers program mode and it's function.

OK, so did you power cycle OFF and then ON again the transformer with both handles fully down position?
Ran downstairs and powered unit off and on several times. Screen looks same. JohnA
Yes, both handles are all the way down. I have never used the program function. JohnA

So did you check all 4 breakers at the back rear of the transformer to make sure none are tripped?
It's possible you have a failure- but also could be something like a stuck button.

Thanks for your help. Breakers not tripped. Same situation. Will read manual online. Ugh. JohnA
Press Program button again or try to program with numbers. Then shut off.
Hi the problem I see is here is the program button might be stuck but the main issue is only the right side of the screen is working so it would appear your having power supply issues or possibly the control board are bad or both I recently just repaired 4 mth Z4000 transformers!
It would have to be trouble shoot and then it would be able to be repaired!
