Other than the obvious difference in wattage and the ZW not having a way to activate the various functions on new locos, if I have a ZW in use on my layout that is already set up in blocks, and I also use a couple MTH Z 1000 units along with the ZW in running the railroad, is there an advantage to trying to find a Z 4000 and stop using the ZW? I have more legacy AC power/E unit locos than I do modern stuff, but I do have enough modern MTH and one Lionel TMCC loco, to make me consider a change.
