Zstuff motors improved?

I have over 30 of these switch machines and frequently suffer split switch train wrecks, usually in front of visitors. And than there is the complete failure where the motor just runs non-stop.

 

Can anybody suggest a reliable replacement?  I'm seriously thinking of the string and cleat system.

 

Dennis is usually very reliable. He was at York for 3 days. I'm sure he will contact you when he get back. We have hundreds of his machines on our club layout and any problems we had he took care of them.

You may need to incorporate the non-derail wiring to over come this. Doubt the motors will change.

Already have this built in but doesn't aleviate problem if train is approaching facing point switch. 

I also have ross 072 switches with dz2500 switch machines. The last batch I ordered, the switch machines were upgraded to include all gold contacts instead of silver.  This seems to have improved the performance of the motors. My older ones on occasion have the same problem where they do not always lock the points as they should.

tortoise switch machines are the best, they never fail. a little more work to hook up, but worth it.
