RMT scale or not?

What you got use to be K-Line. The Alco engines are not scale, I can't tell from the picture how long the passenger cars are but I'm thinkin they are not true scale either.

Much of it is "traditional" size, which means it's not really 1:48 scale.  I believe their ore cars for one are scale, they're the same size as the MTH Premier models.

The RMT/ex-K-Line passenger cars are lenghtened copies of the Lionel O27 postwar streamliners.

As far as I am concerned, they are the passenger cars I wanted 40 plus years ago!  HA.  I like Walter's answer to the question.  They are trains that run and are fun to play with!  If i start getting envious of folks with 2 rail scale stuff then my perfectionist will kick back in and these will go back in boxes.  Let there be trains!!!!

The cars look to be from the K-Line Streamliners series.

I have two sets of the old K-Line passenger cars and they work very well with my MTH RK locos....If your happy it's all that maters!

I have both traditional and scale stuff.  Unless you have a really large layout, the scale stuff sometimes looks too large.  As others have said, they're all trains, enjoy!

I recently got some of the RMT fishbelly hoppers that were on sale.  While they are as long as my MTH scale fishbelly's they are not as wide.  Impressively detailed but just OK coal loads.  I like that they came with a Beep figurine.  They have already climbed into locations around the layout.  I'll run them with my scale hoppers but will only video from the side, not above.
