Atlas oil pump

From the AC power source hook 2 wires from the transformer to a bridge rectifier terminals marked ~. The + and - from the bridge go to the oil rig. If terminals are polarity sensitive they should be marked. I would use a 4 amp or more bridge rectifier. You could put a 470 uf 35 volt capacitor in proper polarity across the + and - of the bridge,not sure it would improve things. Adjust voltage input down so the pump just works,then add a couple volts.

All I know is I bought one at the train show last weekend for one dollar. The motor was fried. It would be nice to got it working again. I think the previous owner ran 18v AC to it.

I run mine on 12v dc. Dale's suggestion will work fine, but I use a couple of dc supplies for all lighting, track signals, dc accessories, and my turnout controls.
