Lou,
could you provide a link to Johnnys post
thx
Personally, I think the Southren Railroad colors are one of the best looking of all time. The above box cars are real lookers but behind a emerald green steam engine they will really snap.
Opps, now it's two above. No, one below. See what you started Lou, now I'm all confused!
Striking color scheme... love it!!!

Is that a NS Heritage paint job or was it an original Southern paint scheme? Whichever, it looks great. That's the kind of boxcar(s) I look for. You can have just so much Tuscan Red! Is that scale or traditional size? Do you need to be a member to buy one? How much?

Yes, you need to be a LCCA member. The single door convention car is available to all members, the double door on site car can only be purchased by attending the convention in Chattanooga. Both cars will eventually show up on E-Bay at a premium.
I am not in to tinplate but I can see why this would be an exciting loco to have if you were. It is a very different and fun type of train with historic (both protypical and for Lionel toy trains) significance. Nice.

You can join the LCCA on-line at our website www.lionelcollectors.org. Just click on the "join the club"icon up near the top of our front page. If you purchase some of our discounted Lionel items, your savings can cover the $35/year cost of a one year membership.
If you have any questions about the club, please call me at 248 709-4137.
