Finally! I knew this one was coming.
I like this car. I would say Menards has another winner. A red Santa Fe or a orange Rio Grande would be nice.
Very nice, but where o' where is my Bluebonnet dummy ?
I knew right after I ordered a pair of ACFX centerflow hoppers (Jan 2, arrived yesterday) you'd come out with another plausibly realistic paint scheme

I will buy several soon.

To those who have these cars are they any good as far as the new trucks?
I haven't unboxed mine yet, but they're equipped with the same rotating-bearing trucks that their long flatcars come with.

Everyone that has purchased one of these new hoppers, could you please tell us what you liked about them. Was there anything you didn't like?
I second jims last post. Please and with more pictures.

There are several real Rio Grande scheme variations possible.
The original D&RGW 10000 series ACF CENTER FLOW 2-bay covered hoppers scheme of a light gray body with bold black graphics.
There was the UNION PACIFIC heritage repaint that had the large decal of the 'Rio Grande' "Through the Rockies" mountain logo.
In the D&RGW 15000 series there were ACF CENTER FLOW 4-bay covered hoppers painted orange with bold black Rio Grande graphics in the 1970's. By the late 1990's they were coated with grime.
