I wonder if the nose art is to throw us off but I'm thinking a ammunition plant or a tank factory.

I'm going to guess that its a painter's shop, maybe even a re-hab company. The "girls" are on the outside walls of the shop to illustrate the painter's skill. Most of the buildings they have created have the Menards name on them and fit in with the home improvement product lines that they sell.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the new offering is.
Greg
Thanks a lot Mark. Just when I thought I had a handle on this you throw out more clues. Another sleepless weekend......Paul
Thanks Mark..........
Mark is having too much fun teasing you guys !!
Mark, got the real deal to get me through the weekend, but thanks anyway. Not that these teases don't hurt! Just sayin!!
So we have:
Aluminum Overcast (B-17)
Rosie the Riveter
Memphis Belle (B-17)
Yankee Lady (B-17)
LIberty Belle (B-17)
D-Day Doll (C-47)
As a fan of the Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio, I think I am going to really like this.
I see my wallet opening again....
Mark, Menards has to be happy with the work you're doing with Ogauge trains and buildings.
I was a bit skeptical at first, but have been very satisfied with the buildings and cars I've purchased so far.
great addition to the hobby.
Thank you
Good Evening Mark,
How about tomorrow, lets try something new. At 9:00 am tomorrow morning how about post this new item. It would be nice, if we didn't have to wait all day for this announcement. I think the nice people here on this forum have waited long enough. Mark. since I don't own any trains other than one Weaver PS-2 covered hopper it doesn't matter to me, but it does me a whole lot to everyone else.
Absolutely right on Jim !
Sounds like we are getting as bad as kids on Christmas morning! :-)
Not that it is any of my business, but I have come to the conclusion that Mark the Menard's Guy probably does not have enough, if any, adult supervision at work.
Ed
My suggestion would be that Mark sends the first person to guess the new item correctly, one for free! Talk about great publicity!!! A caveat would be that the new owner post a review of said item!
Quit whining !! They are in Central time so when he announces the big deal at 5 PM it will be 6 PM here. I told you that it is a big fat steam engine so Mark will leave you guys dangling until the last moment. He is enjoying it too much. Best thing wold be to tell him you aren't buying. See how he would like that !!
He definitely doesn't seem to play well with others!!
Okay Mark, it's 8:22 am in NY state, and I 'm sitting here humming BLESS EM ALL! Waiting!!
I'm ........waiting............
They are on Central time so won't be at work for another 2-3 hours.
We're worth getting up early for the big reveal!
Quonset hut! Quonset hut! Quonset hut!
either that or
Bomb transport car! Bomb transport car!
At least kids don't start thinking about next Christmas immediately after opening their presents, i.e. York, 2017 catalogs, Menards, an on and on and on. The time to worry about the future is when there isn't one.
Mrs. Menard.
Watched the playoffs and all that was on my mind was Monday, Menards and the release of something new....................Paul
A really NEAT release would be a WW II ALCO diesel made during WW II. Were they RS1s?? I forget.
Mark, with all the hints of WWII bomber nose art, I'm pretty sure it is something to compliment the army train releases.
I'm hoping that the next theme Menard's undertakes concerns...
It would be great to have a new circus train with plenty of flatcar loads…
And it would be real extra special nice to include a Menards circus tent!
Just saying….
Count me in for the circus train cars! But I don't even want to think of the teasers for those!
A "Circus Train" would be a fantastic idea. There is nothing like a circus train to add a lot of color to a layout. Menard's flat cars with loads, why the possibilities are endless.
Since I'm kinda late into getting into Menards items I would like to see some of the buildings remade like the gas station, dairy Barn, Camaraderie Bar & Grill, O Gauge Menards® Hobby Shop Building but not all at once as I have a tight budget so it would be like a once a month thing with me lol. In the mean time I see a couple I would like to get starting next month
hey guys take a look at all the pictures in this building menards is offering what do you see under the clock in the power building by the two men in there http://www.menards.com/main/ho...-7495526850159793118
Hey, Marks up! He's sending out likes!
So !! where is the BIG announcement that has the O gauge forum on the edge of a nervous breakdown ??
about 3 1/2 hours away he does it 5 PM central time

Mark,
In reviewing 3 pages of posts, I do believe I was the only one to mention a set of tribute boxcars.
My email address is in my profile, feel free to drop me a line and I'll reply with my shipping address! (It just so happens I also suggested a free "whatever" to whomever guessed correctly. And sadly no, I don't have a time machine, otherwise I would have won that big powerball jackpot).
This is a really fun game, by the way!
Chris
Hope no one complains they're not prototypical! Who cares, they're great, fun ,and represent an era, and guys like my Dad who flew those planes! A lot of that nose art ended up buried in foreign soil! A way to remember their sacrifices!
I like them.
Mike

Chris,
It's true. There were a lot of great guesses but unless I am mistaken, you were the only one to hit the nail on the head. Way to go!
