Hey Mark, I thought I read somewhere here you guys carried auto carriers. I looked on your web site, is that just an in store item. or was I wrong?
New Milk cars or Hoppers........
This is a tough one......
A military B-52 bomber,
A scale model of Hotel street Honolulu (TOH) 1944
I'm guessing...................lady painted on the side of a B-29 Bomber!
Regards,
Swafford
Something to do with traveling on the Santa Fe........Paul
These teasers are killing me. Now I think it has something to do with a railroad advertising going to Sunny Florida...........Paul
For "Mike G"; there have only been flats and box cars so far from Menards with the exception of the newly released Santa Fe Tank car and hopper. You've been miss-informed on the auto carriers.
I don't think I can get that on my layout, and if I try to bring it in the bedroom, all **** will break loose!
ALL Right! A "Shake Dance" Joint! Just what every model RR needs! Ya'LL get ya Dolla Bills Ready!
Mustang, Thanks for the information.
It is one of those bomber with wings folded up and sitting on a Scale Flatcar. Probably 39.99.
Oh man... I can't wait for the official unveiling! A B-17 on a 14 3/4" Flat Car sounds impressive!
I'm going to say an aluminum passenger car.
Pretty sure that Banjoflyer and BMORAN4 have it nailed.

I'm in!
It could be a B17 inside a hanger!
Mike G,
I am thinking that you may have read that the cars that Menards was selling do fit the auto carriers manufactured by either Lionel or MTH. At least that is my recall of the thread.
Rick
I suspect it will be a structure of some type.
Steve
I would get on the "aluminum passenger car" bandwagon.
That specific planes name is "aluminum overcast".
Putting a B-17 on a flatcar wouldn't be anywhere near scale....
Could be Ray...after the operation!! Lol
I don't know what it is, but I want one.
I guess there was not a B-17 with a German Shepherd motto!
My guess is a Quonset hut with decorations appropriate for a WWII airfield.
If Menards can sell a saturn rocket on an O gauge flatcar then I would be surprised if it's not a B-17 with wings on a seperate flatcar. It's been done before with WWII fighters and flatcars. http://www.ebay.com/itm/K-S-Fl...5:g:zywAAOSw-vlViOua
How about a (6) car flat car set with a B-17 broken down into sections to fit on the six flat cars.

Scale or the O-27 cars.
Maebbe they are finally breaking into the locomotive market with a Seaboard Air Line locomotive? (I've seen old Orange Blossom Special ads with the girls)
It will be Menard's first set of 'sitting people'!!
Well, to be scale, the B17 would not fit on a flat car. Two, maybe.
The specific airplane shown above never saw combat. It was built in the last days of WWII and never made it to Europe. Aluminum Overcast is done as a tribute. Owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association. You can purchase rides in it. Tours all around the country.
Hey Mark,
I don't want to rain on your parade but you do realize there are a fair number of old guys on this forum (me included). You put up an image like that and then associate it with model trains and you will be responsible for setting off any number of pacemakers and defibrillators. Who knows how many forum members you have flopping around right now from all the shocks
Ed
Good point Ed! I am also thinking that depending on our age there is no guarantee that we will be here to see the end of these teases! I'm at the point where I don't buy any green bananas! Just sayin! Wow, 2 weeks to wait?

The funeral home will never get the smile off my face.

1Mark if it is the plane, please make it 1/48 scale, however I think it will be on a car of some sort to go along with the new Santa Fe hopper and 3 dome tanker.
Mark I will be buying a few of the 3 dome tankers however think about a single dome all black tank car with out the walk way around the dome, you will sell a gazillion of them( well a whole bunch anyway).
