Cabinet Bob,
We will have another teaser coming tomorrow!
-Mark the Menards Train Guy
Cabinet Bob,
I am assuming that the date is in the title of the thread which means we will see the item in just less than two weeks?
Rick
I would say so. Or hope so !!!!

I'll agree with that guess ...with one of these (minus the stand) assembled, displayed and included with it.
Mark
Agreed.
Menard's is doing a wonderful job at producing and promoting interesting and versatile products at reasonable prices.
It's a factory building.
Now that's a tease in more ways than one!
Rick
Now that's just wrong to tease a man like that!
Mark,
Now I am no expert, but I wonder if you might be jeapordizng the forum's G rating because of that teaser photo.
As I said, I am not sure, I would have to see 30 or 40 more like photos to know for sure.
Ed
I'll side with the gun runner, looks like a bomber factory (building) is in the works from Menard's with possibly a series of flats with aircraft parts.
enjoy your trains...
I think we may be into a whole different hobby here! A Viagra Boxcar, final answer!!
this thread is hysterical, actually laughing out loud while I clicked through it!
BTW, here is a link to a Pinterest board with lots of railroad posters/art which you all might like: https://www.pinterest.com/mack...-pinups-and-posters/
Here's something to calm everyone down while we wait. I found this at Menards in the tool aisle.
"railroad chalk" When I was a kid we would yell at the caboose guy for chalk and if we were lucky he throw a few pieces out for us. Thanks Menards for bringing this memory back.

Probably had stiff couplers, I'll bet!! Okay I'm done, promise! !!
I'm still going with the hooter bar.
OK... There have been no updates on this one for three days. All these teasers and then leave us hanging (sounds like a high school date) !
Hopefully Mark will give us another tease or better yet, tell us what the new release is! The bomber nose art aspect has me anticipating something special!
I bet it is a nice, new steam engine since you guys are ready to pop your safety valve.
Double dome tank car
Alan
These all look like the wonderful collection of nose art in the controlled room at the Commemorative Air Force museum in Midland Texas.
4 days and counting!!!!
these teasers are getting hard..ok.. I'm done too...
Tease number four I can't take anymore. I have not had heart palpitations like this since I played Atari space invaders. But I will now guess that, and I am going way out here, it is going to be a four pack of the longer flat cars carrying fuselages of B-17's with the pics that were displayed.............................Paul
Mark, you are great at marketing your products, as this thread shows. Even if some of us don't buy this item word of mouth spread around about your new items will have innumerable folks looking at your website. An advertiser's dream.
Jack
One thing for sure, everyone will be standing at attention when this offering comes out!! Promises can be broken!

I'm still sticking with a structure. Maybe details added to the inside of another train shed?
I am beginning to think that maybe Mark needs to switch to de-caffeinated coffee.

Could it be one of those famous bars that pilots have their pictures hanging up in?
This is getting a little to much for my old ticker, all these nice looking ladies is making the blood pressure rise. The last one sent me running for the meds!

Pancho's Happy Bottom burned down a very long time ago
Mark,
If my memory is correct, and the story is true, then you might be running afoul of the ghost of Elenor Roosevelt with the aircraft artwork. If the story is true it was Elenor who, upon first seeing the aircraft artwork said it was crude and as a result, the artwork was banned hence forth!
Just saying!
Now I think it's an air craft hanger or a paint stand.
btw, how many flatcars would it take to break down a B-17 and move it by rail?
Some years ago I bought a big, thick book with hundreds of photos in color of the 8th Air Force in WW II. Lots of original nose art. A lot cruder in both ways than what they show today. They used gasoline to thin the paint. Finally the crews were made to put clothes on the girls. The further forward a unit was, the more they could get away with. It seems, in any military, the big shots and rear echelon commandos don't want get too close to the enemy. there were exceptions but I don't think Eleanor was one. We should have sent her to the Germans-scare them to death. But I am betting the pin ups have nothing to do with the Menards new item. He is toying with you !!

A few.
I have a 1:48 scale model of a B-17 and the wingspan is about 24", fuse about 20".
At first I was thinking a series of tribute boxcars, then, thinking back, someone had mentioned passenger cars. So now I'm thinking why not shiny passenger cars, named after the planes that feature the pin-ups Mark has been teasing us with?
