Actually the practice began when some dray horses would collapse from overwork! The teamsters would attempt to get the animal up on it's feet using whatever was at hand! Sometimes it would work, although a horrible remedy! And, sadly, many times the horse was dead giving rise to the expression! In other words ,may be help for the rebate program if we beat Mark with sticks! Lol
As long as we're beating dead things Mark, York?????
I received my set of cars today. They are beautifully decorated and they run great. No loose wobbly trucks on these. Well done!

play trains,
We would love to be part of York, if even in a small capacity. I am just not sure if the timing is right at this point in time. I have high hopes for the future though!

York will come. Just keep doing things the way you are. There is a old saying, "if it's not broke don't fix it." My wife and I had a great train business for thirty years. I never set up at York.
I like them!
Mark, I understand, just another tease!! Lol
Jim, you are ,of course ,right about York and Menards! I would just like to meet Mark and thank him personally for all he does for forum members who deal with Menards and there appears to be a great number of us. Much as I would enjoy meeting you! Just sayin!
Always wanted to meet Santa too! Did meet Gene Autry!!
Play Trains,
Until you can meet Mark face to face, I suggest posting a message for him here on forum. Letting him know, how much you appreciate what Menard's has done for the "O" Gauge train market. I'm sure he will see it and appreciate it.
Thanks Jim, I have many times and will continue to do so! He may be afraid that when I do finally meet him I'll be carrying that stick!! Lol

Maybe some cars with cartoons from Bill Mauldin. Bill did cartoons about the lives of the foot soldiers. Maybe one honoring Ernie Pyle.
