I have 8 switches in my layout. each of them works fine except one. It chatters when the controller is activated to switch the track. once out of the layout it works fine. The middle wire is connected properly. I tried another controller and it does the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks Richie

Sounds like you may be missing an insulated pin.

both are there they are in the inside rails

What is the Lionel parts number? If it is 6-23010 or 6-23011 replace the switch!!

You were absolutly right! The pin was on the wrong rail. it should have been on the outside. THANKS.
