I recently recieved a batch of Lionel and Marx track. Most of it was 027, but I stumbled across 6 sections of what appear to be 027 profile 072 curves. They are low profile, unstamped, and have 6 black ties. They make approximately 1/3 of a circle. They were in a box of mostly 1970's/1980's Lionel track, yet do not appear to be Lionel. Who made them?

Those definitely are not it. These have black, postwar like ties, what appears to be a simulated wood grain, brass (!) pins, and no indentifying markings.

Wow! Never saw those, but they look like my 34" Marx curves. As a poster above said, K-Line DID make O27 track in 72" curves. I bought some because they're fairly hard to find. Not using them now, just hanging on in case I ever get space for a bigger layout.

Neither had I, and I thought I had seen just about all of the track made for O gauge at some point or another
I could find only Lionel, Marx and K-Line made the O27 profile track. Only K-Line made O72. K-line did make a 6 tie O72 in black. K-0322 The ties are exactly like the brown tie.

Odd. Side note, is it possible the rails are hand shaped and those are Marx ties? The kerfing(?) on the sides of the rails is much wider than on production track I have seen previously.
There are pictures here that show what looks to be Marx track like that above:
Did Marx make track larger than 034? I thought that 034 was the largest they made.
WOW,
I have both Marx 5 tie O34" and K-line 6 tie O72 on my layout. I have never seen anything like what you have. Not to say I have seen it all.
What kind of track did KMT/AMT make? Would this possibly be a postwar Lionel experiment? Or perhaps home made?

Their track was full-height "O" profile, 2 rail, plastic ties.
