Did anyone make 042 track in O gauge profile?

I have K-Line O42 tubular
Lionel & K-Line both made 20.17" radius O-42 in the higher profile "O" track system, and Menards sells it new now HERE.
I have seen and bought it on e Bay.
If you go to Menards for tubular track, order it by the case (qty 24) ... cuts the cost almost in half. Menards tubular doesn't have the number of cross ties as the old Lionel and K-Line track in the larger circles, so you'll have to add your own. I salvage metal ties from rusted tubular to add to the Menards track.
No problems with the current production of Menards track. I recently used a case each of O-36 and O-54.
If you can find it, get the K-Line: the extra ties are sturdier and look better than the others. If you can add K-Line 36" straights, it'll look like prewar 072. That's what I had on my layout. To match the look, I also used Williams 031 tinplate track with the extra ties for my inner loop.

You can also use ties & insulators from "retired" "O" track and space them however you wish. I have a severe overstock of O-31 track curves that nobody wants, I will probably harvest the ties.
I have a mix of k- line and lionel O-42. I use it for Christmas layouts so I can run larger locomotives in the living room.
I can’t speak for the K-Line O42 track, but I do have Lionel from around 2008 and Menards O42. The Menards is definitely better quality, heavier gauge metal and lays flat when assembled- the Lionel I have tends to warp when put together.
