Does anyone know a good supplier of miniature light bulbs? I'm looking for a few 1.5v screw in type flashlight bulbs. They seem to be tough to find. I found one supplier on Amazon but they wanted $6.00 shipping for one fifty seven cent bulb.

Most well-stocked hardware stores....not big box home improvement stores...will have flashlight bulbs capable of running on a couple batteries. At least around this part of Meeeshigan, they do!
From time to time we (LHS) have them in our Science section of the store....complete with a bodacious mounting pad with a couple screw terminals for attaching wires...for kids' science projects. Right now I believe we're bulb-less. Something to re-order tomorrow!
Try your local hardware store(s).
FWIW, always....

Leave it to Hugh to come through!!!! Never fail, Buddy.
Not so fast Pappy!
I located the box full bulbs and thought this would be easy...
I forgot that most flashlights came with 2 or 3 D cells so the 1.5V bulbs are really scarce. I have a bag full that I will need to create a jig to apply 1.5 volts to test them all.
In addition, I have
1 box of (10) original Edison Mazda Lamps, Mazda-13, 3.3v for 3 cell flashlights.
1 box of (10) original Ever ready Mazda 14, 2.5v for 2 cell batteries.
I am happy to ship the 1.5V lamps I uncover tomorrow to KD free of charge.
I do have (6) 1.5V bulbs.
Actually the 2.5v work well on the 1.5v source.
All I need is a heartfelt request and a shipping address.
Hugh
Sorry for the delayed reply but I"m out of town. As some of you have noted 1.5V bulbs are truly hard to find and no hardware stores don't have them because most flashlights are 2 or 3 D cells. Hugh, I'll send you an email. Thanks.
