I had a broken coupler on my RS-1 last August.  I contacted Atlas and they said send it in.  I then heard of stories of Atlas taking months to return your locomotive.  I was way out of warranty and was scared to not see my locomotive for a very long time.  I held off shipping but that RS-1 was begging to be ran.  Last week I decided to pack it up and ship it off to Atlas.  I thought even if it took a few months to get back, it is better then sitting on my shelf.  

 

To my surprise when I got home from work yesterday she was sitting on my doorstep!  Atlas must have fixed it the day the received it and shipped it right back out!  

 

I do not run many diesels on my layout but next time I am in the market for one I will be looking at Atlas for sure!
