Just unpacked my box from Menard's with 3 US Army 40 ft flats with vechicles ( 2 with flat bed truck and 1 with tanker.   Also got 2 box trucks with medical supplies.   The flat cars are nice but I will sell them at our club this week.  I am using the vehicles with my Weaver 50 ft flat cars I have.  I still have 8 or 9 to add loads to.   VBG     Menard's did a real nice job on the cars and the vechicles!    I may order a few more.   VBG.

Also, can someone explain the processing fee to me? I mean, it's great that Menards is getting into trains, I love that, but I don't understand the processing fee at all. Why not just price your goods including all of your costs? Or, is this processing fee only for we unlucky west coast people who don't have a store nearby and would have to order online? I'm sorry to say that the psychology of a "processing fee" stops me. Hilarious to say that if it were factored into the price or into the shipping cost it would not bother me nearly as much. :-)

Funny our perceptions of what is a bargain.

At any rate, I wish Menards well. I'll probably wait until I'm in that part of the country and just go to a store-- an adventure!

Not meant as a joke. Meant as honest feedback from a potential customer. I'm sure Menards appreciates all points of view and does not consider it a joke. I wish them all the best.

I was not responding to your reply.I was responding to the opening topic by the OP.I am pretty sure I have got this down by now.I am now responding to your reply.Nick

Mark, still showing not available for home shipment on the military helicopter! 800 miles sounds like a nice road trip? Spoken like a true company man!! Could be if I was with my dear wife, but after learning of our destination and purpose, I will be very recently divorced and therefore traveling alone!! Lol

You do not need to go to a store.  Find a store that has the item after doing a search and then call the hardware department.   Just give them the product number and they will check if they have it still.  IF they have the item you can buy it from them  they will ship it to you.  I have done this to get certain vechicles.

Thanks Mark and the Menard team for these nice items for O Gauge.
