I don't have those glasses any more and my hair is greyer and thinner
Thinking back, mine was taken 7 years ago. I have a few more wrinkles and a few white hairs in my mustache, but I really don't look much different. I may change it in recognition of my 65th birthday this fall.

I change mine fairly regularly so mine is up to date. I make sure they reflect my other interests as well as trains.
As to OGR's policy on a picture of you, I completely understand this. It keeps the moderators less busy weeding out inappropriate avatars and let's us be able to recognize each other at events. The far away shots can be hard to see but if it falls in the "picture of me" category then it should be allowed as pointed out many folks have them like this. If you don't like the policy just don't use one.
I'm thankful that we have avatars of actual members. I've been printing and cutting them out and putting them around the foundation of the house. I haven't had a pest problem in years.
Here is the un-cropped version of mine taken 2 weeks ago. We were near the Mutara Nebula in the Beta Quadrant. The PRR shirt made it to space. LOL!

Ski, I recall an older coworker telling the others that our older daughter was cute as a button when she was about 2 years old. Brings back memories now that he has passed on. Thank you! Bob Pair was a good mentor and friend.

LOL! I use mine as well. Seems vermin are especially afraid of it.

Unfortunately, yes. I thought you were suppose to look more distinguished/dignified when you got older.
Depends if I shave or not. I only use the glasses for reading.
Yeah, except I can't get the costume on anymore. I guess it shrank.

Did you get out of there before the Genesis device detonated?

Perhaps it would be if I were modeling Nacional de Mexico....
This thread reminds me of a book by the late Erma Bombeck entitled:
"When you start to look like your passport photo, it's time to go home."

Marty, This Avatar replicates your essence regardless of the galaxy or dimension where you exist. Live long and prosper, Pat B.
I resemble my avatar at least one day of the year. That should be sufficient to meet the intent of the rule. Pat B.
Pat, you are like a friend I had growing up, in recent years he has made a great Santa. However, In the last year he lost a little over 100 pounds. I don’t know what he will do this year since all that will fit is the hat.
Unfortunately yes
Mark, I don't have that problem. I am twice the man my lovely bride married 40 years ago. I need to do the same thing your friend has done. Pat B.
Mine was taken this past Easter so it’s still pretty fresh
No...not even close..it was 15 years ago and now I am retired..and old. No more dress clothes for me. Jeans and t shirt only...it's Colorado.
