Does anyone know where I can find 18/19v 161 style bulbs or LED 18v 161 style bulbs? The 14v bulbs don’t last too long in the command environment.
I am tempted to just switch everything over to the twist lock bayonet sockets as I can get the direct fit LEDs for them from the local hobby shop.

Will they withstand the constant 18 volts? Guess I can try one and see what happens.

I will try the automtove LED first. If that fails I will either order some 18v bulbs from hennings along with a couple other items, or I will get bayonet sockets and LEDs from town and county hobbies and still get a couple items from hennings 😁.
I've been using 194 bulbs from the local auto parts store. They are rated at 12 volts but seem to last for quite awhile at high voltage. When/if they fail I just replace them. I get packs of 10 for about $8.
As an aside auto LED replacement bulbs are meant for DC current (as that's what all the electronics in your car run off of) so they will probably immediately fail when exposed to the AC current used on O gauge layouts.
