Gently unbend the tabs on the bottom of the frame along the edges. Then pull the body straight up and off. Replace the truck using the correct eyelet and press. Reassemble the top body to the chassis ensuring that all tabs go into their respective slots. Do not bend them over, give them a gentle twist just enough so they do not back out. Done.

The front truck is attached with either an eyelet or a stud and horseshoe washer. Unless you have the proper riveting tools, the stud or eyelet will be difficult to reattach (if the horseshoe washer fell off it is just cinched around the stud).  Any Lionel service station will have the proper tools, otherwise a small machine screw, nut and a drop of nail polish to secure the nut will work.
