Like many I have several prewar Pullmans with a missing or damaged coupler skirt.  I know there have been replacement parts available in the past but I haven't seen any in quite some time.  I took a shot at making something that hopefully looks like it is supposed to be there.  Here's a couple of pictures, one before and couple of after.  I made it from a piece of brass and a piece of copper wire to make the rib.  I probably need to smooth the solder a bit but so far it looks pretty decent I think.  I'll probably try to match some red paint just on the skirt.  The only bad thing is now I have a bunch of cars to "fix".  I guess now I don't need to ignore cars with a missing coupler skirt.  Suggestions on improvement are appreciated.
