Is there any real difference between the two besides the number of watts? I could see needing the 260 watts when you are running a passenger train where all the cars are full of incandescent lights.
Power is the big difference. Personally, 180 watts (10 amps) on a single power district is all I need. Since these are primarily for conventional running, how many times are you really going to need more than 10 amps?

Do yourself a favor and get the 360W one. I have a postwar celebration CP set with ABBA and 9 cars. It has 4 pullmor motors and about 20 - 18v bulbs in the mix. It can draw over 10 Amps easily. This set completely overwhelms the 180W powermaster. Wish I had the 360W.
