A short video of our 1873 Mason 0-6-4T "Torch Lake" working up a 2.5% grade on her second to last run for the operating season.  Thanks to forum member Mark Bee who filmed it since I was firing the locomotive.

And a couple more from the evening.

NIce videos Jake, I like the stack talk.  A little driver slip on the hill.  I had a cab ride on the Torch Lake years ago.  I was talking to the crew and told them that I had fired on steam in the Upper Peninsula and they had me come on up.  So that's it for the year?  They used to run in December for the Christmas season.  Too bad, as I am planning a visit downstate then and was going to stop at the Village.

BTW, my club has just released a Bosch Beer car in O gauge, which was from the same area as the Torch Lake.  I bet at least some of her orginal crew drank Bosch.  Check our post on the main Forum.

Yes, the winter maintenance season started today.  I'm not sure when exactly the last winter operations were, but they haven't operated in the winter in many years.
